What is the delivery method for your ACT White Card training?

Our ACT White Card training is delivered via an online assessment followed by a live Zoom session with an accredited trainer. You first complete the CPCWHS1001 learning and multiple-choice assessment at your own pace with no upfront payment. Once you finish, you book a 30-minute Zoom session where you show your ID and answer a few required questions.

Is an online White Card valid in ACT?

Yes, as long as it meets WorkSafe ACT requirements. Our course uses a structured online assessment plus a live Zoom session with a real trainer, which satisfies WorkSafe ACT standards for General Construction Induction (CPCWHS1001). Once you receive your Statement of Attainment you can use it to obtain your official ACT White Card through Access Canberra.

Do I need to live in Canberra to do this?

No. Because the assessment and trainer session are 100% online we train people across the ACT — Canberra, Belconnen, Tuggeranong, Gungahlin, Woden Valley and Weston Creek. As long as you are in the ACT (or planning to work there) with a reliable internet connection and suitable device, you can complete the course from home or work.

How much is the ACT White Card course?

Our ACT White Card course price is $149 and you only pay once you've completed your online assessment. We regularly run promotions, so you'll always see the most up-to-date price before you confirm. Whatever the advertised price, we'll beat any competitor's price for the same course by $10 — guaranteed.

How long does the course take?

The ACT course consists of a self-paced online assessment plus a short Zoom session with a trainer. You can pause and resume the assessment whenever you like. The live trainer session usually takes less than 30 minutes to finalise your assessment and verify your ID.

What are the requirements for me to take the course?

You'll need a computer, mobile phone or tablet with a stable internet connection in a quiet, comfortable space, be at least 14 years old and able to read and write in English, and have 100 points of ID ready to show your trainer. You must also have a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) — if you don't have one you can create it online in minutes with one form of ID. You'll also need basic PPE: a hi-vis vest, shirt or jacket, hard hat, ear plugs or ear muffs, and safety glasses or goggles (available from Bunnings for under $20). Please make sure you meet all of these requirements before booking, otherwise you may be refused entry and required to pay a fee to re-book.

Getting Your White Card in Canberra

Anyone working on a construction site in Canberra needs General Construction Induction Training (CPCWHS1001) — commonly called a White Card. That covers labourers, apprentices, tradespeople, traffic controllers, cleaners, machine operators and supervisors, along with owner builders applying for a council permit.

Rather than travelling to a classroom, you join a live class over Zoom from home or the office in Canberra. The trainer works through the course with you, marks your assessment on the spot, and your certificate is issued the same day.

Your White Card is nationally recognised, so once certified in Canberra you can work on sites anywhere in Australia.

How It Works — 3 Simple Steps

Secure Your Booking

Select a suitable course date from our online calendar and complete your booking to reserve your place.

It was about as good an experience as i feel these skrts of things can be. Whikst i will admit i do not enjoy web seminar related things. The staff were proffessional and good at what they do. So i hope the 5 star reflects that my quibbles with the white card are in no way the fault of the staff members or company

Response from the owner:Thank you, Carl, for your thoughtful feedback. We appreciate your recognition of our professional staff during the webinar. Best of luck with your future endeavors, and we hope to see you again soon!
