White Card Training Kit — PPE For Your Online Class

Everything you need to show your trainer on camera during the practical component of CPCWHS1001, certified to Australian Standards and delivered to your door.

What The Training Kit Is For

The White Card course is not purely theory. CPCWHS1001 — Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry requires every student to demonstrate that they can identify, select and correctly wear personal protective equipment. In a physical classroom, PPE is handed out at the door. In a live online Virtual Connected Classroom, you supply it and show it to the trainer on camera.

That catches a lot of first-time students by surprise, particularly anyone who has never worked on a site and doesn't yet own a hard hat. The White Card Training Kit solves it in one order: a compliant, site-ready PPE pack posted to your address, with a checklist of exactly what the trainer will ask you to put on during the session.

The kit is completely optional. If you already own PPE, or your employer issues it, use that instead — your enrolment, class time and certificate are unaffected either way. The kit simply removes a trip to the hardware store for students starting from scratch.

Because the gear is certified to the same Australian Standards required on site, it does not become useless after the course. Most students wear the same hat, vest and glasses on their first day of work.

What's In The Kit

Hard hat (AS/NZS 1801)
A vented Type 1 safety helmet with an adjustable harness, the same standard required on Australian construction sites.
Hi-vis vest (AS/NZS 4602.1)
Day-use fluorescent vest with reflective taping, sized to fit over work clothing.
Safety glasses (AS/NZS 1337.1)
Clear medium-impact wraparound eye protection with anti-scratch coating.
Class 5 ear plugs (AS/NZS 1270)
Corded disposable ear plugs suitable for demonstrating hearing protection during the practical component.
General purpose gloves (AS/NZS 2161)
Coated grip gloves for demonstrating hand protection selection.
PPE checklist card
A printed prompt sheet listing what the trainer will ask you to show on camera during the session.

Ordering And Delivery

Order your kit at the same time you book your class. Kits placed before 12:00pm AEST on a business day are dispatched the same day, and most metropolitan deliveries arrive within 2–5 business days. Regional and remote addresses generally take 4–8 business days, so order at least a week ahead if you want the gear in hand for your session.

Booking a class sooner than that is not a problem. Attend with borrowed or employer-issued PPE and keep the kit for site work. Crews and companies can order bulk kits alongside a group booking with a single consolidated delivery — call 1300 335 011 for pricing.

Training kit FAQs

Common Questions About The Kit

No. The training kit is optional. You must have basic PPE available during your live online session — hard hat, hi-vis, safety glasses and hearing protection — but you are welcome to use your own gear or borrow from your employer. The kit exists for students who don't yet own PPE and want it in one delivery.
