SafeWork NSW offers a card verification service — employers and site supervisors can check a card number against the register, and you can contact SafeWork NSW on 13 10 50 if you need confirmation or a replacement. Until your plastic card arrives, your SafeWork NSW Statement of Training plus photo ID is accepted as proof of induction on site.
CPCWHS1001 has no legislated expiry date in NSW, so your card does not need renewing. However, if you have not worked in construction for two years or more, SafeWork NSW expects you to complete the training again before returning to site, and many principal contractors set their own refresher policy of every three to five years.
Most NSW builders will also want a site-specific induction on your first day, and depending on the work, additional tickets such as working at heights (RIIWHS204E), confined spaces, asbestos awareness, traffic control or an EWP licence. The White Card is the baseline requirement that gets you through the gate.
Yes. NSW Fair Trading requires General Construction Induction Training as part of an owner-builder permit application for work above the prescribed value threshold, in addition to the NSW owner-builder course. Our online class satisfies the induction requirement.
The White Card course runs online via a Zoom link sent to your email upon checkout. You can attend using a computer, mobile phone or tablet, and you don't need a Zoom account to join the course.
Yes — but only if it is delivered via a 'Virtual Connected Classroom'. You cannot simply complete a self-paced quiz. Our course is run live over Zoom with a real trainer, which meets all SafeWork NSW requirements.
No. Because we are 100% online we train people from everywhere — students from Penrith, Liverpool, Newcastle, Wagga Wagga and everywhere in between. As long as you are in NSW and have a good internet connection, you're good to go.
The duration of the online webinar course is 6 hours.
You'll need a computer, mobile phone or tablet with a stable internet connection in a quiet, comfortable space, be at least 14 years old and able to read and write in English, and have 100 points of ID ready to show your trainer. You must also have a valid Unique Student Identifier (USI) — if you don't have one you can create it online in minutes with one form of ID. You'll also need basic PPE: a hi-vis vest, shirt or jacket, hard hat, ear plugs or ear muffs, and safety glasses or goggles (available from Bunnings for under $20). Please make sure you meet all of these requirements before booking, otherwise you may be refused entry and required to pay a fee to re-book.
Monday to Saturday morning sessions are $129 and evening sessions are $149. Sunday sessions are $159. We will beat any advertised price for the same course by $10, guaranteed. AfterPay is available at checkout.

You'll learn current Australian WHS legislation, what hazards and risks are and how to control them, principles of risk management, and your duty of care on a construction site. The course also covers WHS documentation and reporting, responding to emergencies, fire safety and extinguisher use, safety signs and symbols, and the correct selection and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
You will receive a SafeWork NSW Statement of Training the same day, which you can use immediately, plus a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment for CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry. Your physical card is sent by registered post.

Have your PPE ready for your scheduled class and bring the original documents that make up your 100 points of ID. Digital copies (scans or PDFs) are acceptable, but photos of documents will not be accepted. Cancellations made less than 7 days before the course start date are non-refundable; cancellations with more than 7 days' notice receive a 50% discount on your next booking to cover staffing and course-related costs.
Queensland construction induction cards can be checked through the Office of Industrial Relations / WorkSafe Queensland licence and card search, and site supervisors will usually record your card number at induction. Until your physical card arrives, your Statement of Attainment for CPCWHS1001 plus photo ID is accepted as evidence of induction training.
The CPCWHS1001 qualification does not expire in Queensland. However, if you have not carried out construction work for two years or more, WorkSafe Queensland expects you to redo the induction before returning to site. Individual principal contractors may also require a refresher every few years as part of their own safety management plan.
Beyond the White Card, most Queensland sites run their own site-specific induction on day one. Depending on your trade you may also need a high-risk work licence (scaffolding, rigging, forklift, EWP), asbestos awareness, confined space or working at heights training, and a Queensland traffic management ticket for roadworks.
Yes. Because you are assessed against the national unit CPCWHS1001, your Queensland card is recognised in NSW, Victoria, South Australia, Tasmania and the Northern Territory. The ACT issues its own card through its regulator, so check that state page if you plan to work there.
The White Card course runs online via a Zoom link sent to your email upon checkout. You can use a computer, mobile phone or tablet, and you don't need a Zoom account to attend.
Yes. Our course leads to the nationally recognised unit of competency CPCWHS1001. It is accepted by WorkSafe QLD and on construction sites across the state.
Not at all. Because we're 100% online we train students from Capalaba, Sunshine Coast, Logan, Toowoomba and anywhere in QLD. As long as you have a stable internet connection, you can join the class.
Yes. A Queensland White Card is nationally recognised. If you get your card with us in QLD you can use it to work in NSW, Victoria, or anywhere else in Australia.

Yes. We deliver training in proud partnership with Registered Training Organisation The Careers Academy (RTO 46244), ensuring your course meets all national standards. Upon successful completion you'll receive both a Statement of Training and a Statement of Attainment you can use to obtain your White Card throughout Queensland.

Access Canberra is the ACT Government's service agency and it issues the physical ACT White Card. Once we email your CPCWHS1001 Statement of Attainment, you lodge it with Access Canberra — online or at a service centre — along with proof of identity. They verify the qualification and produce your card. There is a small government fee for card issuance that is separate from your course price.
Most students finish the online assessment in two to four hours and book their trainer session the same or next day. Your Statement of Attainment is emailed the same day the session is finalised. Access Canberra processing then typically takes a few business days for a card, though timeframes vary — your Statement of Attainment is generally accepted on site in the meantime.
NSW and Queensland require the full induction to be delivered as a live six-hour Virtual Connected Classroom. The ACT model separates the training and assessment from card issuance: WorkSafe ACT and Access Canberra issue the card once you hold the nationally recognised unit, which allows a self-paced assessment combined with a live trainer verification session. That is why the ACT course is shorter and paid after assessment.
ACT builders will run a site-specific induction on your first day, and depending on the work you may also need working at heights, confined space, asbestos awareness or a high-risk work licence. Government and commercial contractors in Canberra often ask for evidence of your White Card before you are added to the site register.
Our ACT White Card training is delivered via an online assessment followed by a live Zoom session with an accredited trainer. You first complete the CPCWHS1001 learning and multiple-choice assessment at your own pace with no upfront payment. Once you finish, you book a 30-minute Zoom session where you show your ID and answer a few required questions.
Yes, as long as it meets WorkSafe ACT requirements. Our course uses a structured online assessment plus a live Zoom session with a real trainer, which satisfies WorkSafe ACT standards for General Construction Induction (CPCWHS1001). Once you receive your Statement of Attainment you can use it to obtain your official ACT White Card through Access Canberra.
No. Because the assessment and trainer session are 100% online we train people across the ACT — Canberra, Belconnen, Tuggeranong, Gungahlin, Woden Valley and Weston Creek. As long as you are in the ACT (or planning to work there) with a reliable internet connection and suitable device, you can complete the course from home or work.
Our ACT White Card course price is $149 and you only pay once you've completed your online assessment. We regularly run promotions, so you'll always see the most up-to-date price before you confirm. Whatever the advertised price, we'll beat any competitor's price for the same course by $10 — guaranteed.
The ACT course consists of a self-paced online assessment plus a short Zoom session with a trainer. You can pause and resume the assessment whenever you like. The live trainer session usually takes less than 30 minutes to finalise your assessment and verify your ID.
