About us

Construction Safety Training, Done Properly

White Card Webinars is a business of The Careers Academy — a Registered Training Organisation (RTO 46244) delivering nationally recognised safety qualifications across Australia.

Our Story

White Card Webinars began with a simple observation: the people who most need a White Card are the people who can least afford to lose a day of work getting one. Labourers between jobs, apprentices starting on Monday, shift workers, parents juggling childcare, and regional workers hours from the nearest training room were all being asked to travel to a classroom and give up a full day's pay for a course that could be run properly online.

When regulators formalised the "Virtual Connected Classroom" model — live, supervised video delivery with real-time identity verification — we rebuilt the entire course around it rather than treating it as a stopgap. Class sizes are capped so the trainer can interact with every student. Assessment is marked during the session. Certificates go out the same day. That decision is the reason students now join us from Sydney high-rises, Queensland civil sites, Canberra government projects, usually from a phone.

We have since trained thousands of individuals and hundreds of teams for builders, labour hire agencies, councils and government contractors, and we remain a business of The Careers Academy — the Registered Training Organisation that issues every qualification we deliver.

Our Trainers

Every session is delivered by an accredited trainer and assessor holding TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment along with CPCWHS1001 and genuine construction industry experience. They have run sites, coordinated WHS and worked at height — which is why the course is taught in the language students will actually hear on site.

Sal

Lead Trainer & Assessor — NSW

TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment · CPCWHS1001 · 12+ years in construction

Sal came off the tools after more than a decade running residential and commercial sites in Sydney's west. He now leads our NSW Virtual Connected Classroom sessions and specialises in getting first-time labourers and apprentices confident with site hazards, SWMS and their duty of care before their first shift.

Steve

Senior Trainer & Assessor — QLD

TAE40116 · CPCWHS1001 · Former WHS coordinator, 15+ years construction and civil

Steve delivers most of our Queensland classes and brings a background in civil works and site WHS coordination. Students consistently mention how clearly he explains the Work Health and Safety Act, regulations and codes of practice in language that actually makes sense on site.

Lyssa

Trainer & Assessor — Evening Sessions

TAE40116 · CPCWHS1001 · 8+ years vocational training

Lyssa runs our evening and weekend classes for students working full time. She's known for a patient, supportive style that helps people who haven't studied in years get through the assessment first go — a name that appears again and again in our Google reviews.

Wazz

Trainer & Assessor — ACT & Group Bookings

TAE40116 · CPCWHS1001 · 10+ years scaffolding, heights and induction training

Wazz handles our ACT verification sessions and most corporate group bookings. With a scaffolding and working-at-heights background, he's the trainer builders and labour hire firms ask for when onboarding a whole crew at once.

Accreditation And Compliance

Training is delivered under The Careers Academy, safework approval number 800603, so your Statement of Attainment for CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry is nationally recognised under the Australian Qualifications Framework, not just in the state you trained in.

As an RTO we operate under the Standards for Registered Training Organisations, which govern trainer qualifications, assessment validation, student records and the issuance of Statements of Attainment. Every student is issued against a valid Unique Student Identifier, so your training appears on your national USI transcript permanently — useful if you ever lose a card or need to prove your qualification to a new employer.

We deliver into New South Wales, Queensland, the Australian Capital Territory and Western Australia, and we follow each regulator's delivery rules rather than applying a single format everywhere. That is why our NSW and QLD courses run as live six-hour classes while the ACT course combines a self-paced assessment with a live trainer verification session.

Why Students Choose Us

A 4.9-star average from more than 4,300 Google reviews is the short version. The long version is morning, evening and weekend classes to suit shift workers, real phone support when something goes wrong, a $10 price-beat guarantee, and a system that gets people onto site the same day they enrol.
